(the title says haw-law not oh-la)
It has been approximately 15 months since I've last posted. It's ridiculous how much I have changed in what feels to me like a very short time. I've completed my freshman year of college along with my first semester of sophomore year & currently in my fourth semester. So far, all my classes have been enjoyable(even the ones I haven't done so well in :(). I've learned so much in these 15 months, for the better and the worse. I was a parent-moocher for about 19 years, and on a faithful Halloween eve I began my first job. It has been so wonderful working here. I feel truly undeserving of this job, but I wouldn't have it any other way. It is not only a fun and comfortable environment, but I have learned so much in these few months. My friends are doing great, no friendships have deteriorated and more have evolved. Another great thing that happened this past year is that my youth minister who left for the monastery is BACK! I am more than happy and we get to see each other quite often. I would have never thought I'd see the day. In addition to those changes I am much more aware on social issues and issues that I have myself, which I am positive is a side effect of college. I am loving life but it needs a lot of improvements.
I am not sure as to whether or not I had mentioned Legacy in my previous posts *I will look back in a second* NOPE. I haven't but it is a college ministry group at my church. I have been attending since the beginning of the 2013-2014 school year. I am so very glad I gave it a chance! Although there are still many many many things that I must fix, MANY. I think it is time (way past due) to really get my life on track. There are so many things I am missing out because of my pride, laziness, and lack of self control. It got old pretty quickly, but I haven't made any changes in more than a year. (This blog puts quite the specific timeline on my active faith life). Tonight is actually a legacy night. It is usually the leaders who coordinate the teachings but tonight it is myself & my friend K. When Legacy began I was able to attend mass and make it to the meetings on time, but because I get out of work at 8PM I get there a little late. K & I (with a help from a friend) decided to do the topic on ProLife. I had two of four topics and I have an outline that I will print before I leave work. Yes I am at work :). I am a bit nervous because the discussion may not go as planned or if I have the right idea about what it consists of but hopefully it will play out smoothly.
Missed this!
