"Prayer is the oxygen of the soul" - Padre Pio (Melissa, take notes)

Graduated today!

We look kinda bad in that picture.

                                                    my beautiful youth minister!!

Front steps

So I guess it's time to give my speech:

Ahem, I remember when I was a wee little girl. I could hear the water in my mother's womb swooshing around while I tried to nutri-fy myself from her umbilical cord. That was about 18 years ago. I still don't know how my mom has put up with me for that long.
Baby Melissa

Well. . . I can. Who could resist that gingerbread outfit??? & the black eyes that can peer into your soul?

Young lady Melissa

The obvious reason of why I'm here is because of my parents, they always push me to try to do my best, sometimes I do and sometimes I don't. I really just really like really love my parents. I am so grateful that God blessed me with such supportive and loving parents :') They're so perfect for me. I was really happy today because I could tell my mom was extremely proud of me.

Now the hard part, which my family has been bothering me about is what my career will be or what I will study. I was checking my email and saw an article on Yahoo! that was about " Careers that let you have fun on the job" There was: teacher, public relation specialist, travel writer, registered nurse, and fashion designer. My top favorites are travel writer and teacher. I want to do something where I can have fun, and honestly, have people like and know me. Maybe somewhere where I can connect with an audience. . . I like writing, but i'd definitively need to learn how to write. I don't know but I feel like i'm just itching to know already. I can't handle my own suspense. I feel lost inside myself. <- way to end on a sad note, right?

I'll keep searching

xoxo,
Melissa O.

  1. You have time dollface to decide what you want to do with your life.
Also, I like travel writer. How much fun would that be?
I'm still holding out for one of my teens to be a youth minister (or a nun), and that might be YOU!

  2. Melissa! Don't sweat it! I still haven't found my career yet, it's either RN, or teacher, or pediatrician, somehow neurologist got in there(my dad), but you have a LOOOOOOOOONG life ahead of you squirt! It took me since I graduated highh school to realize that now.

PRAY! that always helps! Just do your thing and everything will fall in it's place!
