I recently made a short 10 question quiz to test how well you know me. I wish I added more questions but it was so hard with all the images and such. Some of these questions are pretty dumb but it's fun! My sister didn't even get them all right and a couple could be one or the other.

Let's see how well you know me! (This is an updated version)

Question.

How do you keep your thought processes exciting and your perspectives fresh??

Initial activities that come to mind are self help books and brain teasers.

I think to myself and try to understand that not everyone can enjoy learning. But that can't be true. Life is just constant learning (this just took a philosophical turn) and even if its not learning from a book, we all have something that excites us.

My question is, if we're not finding how and what we like to learn as time passes us then why anything?  Why would we leave our thought processes at a 3rd grade level? And our mental capacity at 30%?

I'm not saying we should write in stone what our passions are at 16. But in the mean time, while we find what it is we are called to do, we should find different things that make us feel. Ideas and activites that ignite our souls and stimulate our lives. Whether they are permanent or temporary interests.

For myself, looking back, I felt my brain was constantly a flat wavelength. And as the years have passed me by, my thoughts have highs and lows. There's some brain activity! ;) For me, it has been reading others' thoughts,  balanced discussions, and research on topics that invoke my interest. ~brain exercises~ that have helped me stand for myself, give me a voice, and that keeps my perception on its toes. I think its also worthy to say it keeps me mentally healthy. Tbh at one point or another complacency becomes boring and more energy then its worth.

This is my experience and thoughts I would want to share with my younger self. & maybe these thoughts have a relate-tivity limit (I think I just made that up) and that limit is ME.

[A YouTube channel I recommend to grind you brain's gears is the PBS Idea Channel. I personally think its brilliant, funny, and visually appealing. The latest video, "Are there Internet dialects?" is a good one if you are familiar with internet language (meaning I do believe there are internet dialects, and I feel you can find this post in a certain "internet dialect"). And if you don't understand what I'm saying, well thats what the video is for. ;)]

Okay, its 2AM what am I doing.

also, there may or may not be such a thing as too much pink.

I am obviously so bad at blogging. No one really reads this so?????? But I like this so I can go back and read it and see what I was up to on a beautiful April day.

I have been working all day for the last couple days. I do not mind the 10 hour days because it is not that busy and I have a lot of free time. What gets to me is the lack of human interaction I have for hours at a time. I keep company my listening to the same six Beyonce songs. (I would really love to add the accent on her Bey's name but Google doesn't have it??)

I am having sushi (for the 3rd time this week) for dinner with Virginia. Who I haven't spent time with since a week and some days ago so I am excited. I've really been spending most of my time on Tumblr. I KNOW I HAVE TO GET TO STUDYING. :(

Bojangles by Pitbull is playing and I am just trying to understand myself. I really want to update more often, just for myself.

The confirmation is this Tuesday at seven and my sister chose me to be her sponsor :o. It has seriously been my dream to be her sponsor since i was 3. And to be completely honest I have not been to confession in a very good while. AKA not living my responsibilities as a good Catholic and sponsor candidate. I decided that it was a more than a perfect time to get everything in my life together. Because confirmation is Tuesday i need to be absolved of all my sins before then to be able to receive the Body of Christ along with my sister. I went to mass last night and they usually have confession before it begins. So I got in line and all that good stuff. It was nearing the end and I wasn't sure if I was going to even make it. At this point I was just really excited and ready to finally go through with it. So at last one of the hospitality members lets us know that the priest will only be taking 2 more people, the lady about to go in and myself that was right behind her. WHEN A LADY WHO WAS IN FRONT OF ME BUT HAD LEFT TO SIT DOWN CAME BACK AND TOLD THE HOSPITALITY MEMBER SHE WAS NEXT. & when he let me know I was like *OK* and walked away when I should have stood my ground :( SO I did not get to go. I was very sad I almost cried. Fast forward to today I had an appointment at the Wellness Center by gym at 11AM and I decided to call Father B. to set up an appointment for me that day since I was going to attend noon mass. He let me know he was going to call me back in a few minutes and never did. :( then I went to mass and Fr. P. was giving it. I approached him to see if he was doing confessions and he let me know he wasn't feeling well. It was like the universe was doing everything in it's power to not allow me to go. Fast fast forward to around 3:30PM and I get a call from Fr. B, but I had to work at 4. I ended up making an appointment for tomorrow at 2PM. I am a little nervous because it will not be hurried and he will probably examine me from every angle. We'll see how it goes tomorrow :)

AND THE LEGACY RETREAT IS THIS WEEKEND. I am so excited not only to have a weekend off :P but to just get back on track with my faith. This just feels like the perfect week for everything. I also made myself in charge of snacks so I need to go to Costco. Chips and dip, pizza rolls, umm??? I love food so I am excited :P

I AM JUST SO EXCITED. . . .
